IPL 2025 Points Table: Team Standings and Rankings

The 18th edition of IPL 2025 kicks off on March 22, with defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) taking on Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

This high-profile tournament will feature 74 matches, with 10 teams vying for the prestigious title. The final is set to take place on May 25 at Eden Gardens. Fans are eagerly anticipating the season, as it marks the first IPL after last year’s mega-auction in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Several teams have built formidable squads, aiming to go all the way.

During the round-robin stage, each team will play 14 matches. The top four teams will advance to the playoffs, where the top two will have two chances to reach the final. Meanwhile, the third and fourth-placed teams will need to secure back-to-back wins to make it to the summit clash.

A victory will earn a team two points, while a match with no result due to weather or other factors will see both teams receive one point each. In the event of a tie in the points table at the end of the league stage, net run rate will serve as the tiebreaker.  Check out the IPL Score Table 2025 in this article below:

IPL Points Table 2024

The inaugural match of IPL 2025 commences on March 22: the seasoned champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the ceremonial pitch of Eden Gardens in Kolkata. It shall then shift from one high profile tournament with a total of 74 matches played between the ten teams competing for the coveted trophy.

The speakers will then take up the issue of the final match already set for May 25 at Eden Gardens. The fans are already next-level because this is the first IPL after last year’s mega roll-out auction in Jeddah in Saudi Arabia when numerous teams acquired several mega squads to go all the way.

Each team will be playing 14 matches in a round-robin format. The best four will contend for a place in the playoffs: the two atop this classification will have two attempts to achieve the final, whereas the third and fourth must get two consecutive victories to reach the final face-off.

A team gets two points for a win, with one point allocated for each team when there is no result due to weather or other reasons. In case of a tie on the points table after the league phase, net run rate will be the decider. Check out the IPL Score Table 2025 for more information in this article below:
